b'William Perehudoff: AC7833 William Perehudoff (19182013) was a Saskatchewan based painter associated with the colour field movement in Canada. He attended the Emma Lake Artists workshops where he became acquainted with instructors Kenneth Noland, Jules Olitski, fellow attendee Jack Bush and in 1962 the renowned art critic associated with the colour field movement, Clement Greenberg. AC7833 is a classic example of Perehudoffs mature work where the figure / ground relation is blurredwhere both the self-contained shapes in his paintings and the stained atmospheric washes exist on the same surface critic and artist Robert Christie remarked These paintings have a single unity to them.'
